Pipe Cutting Machines

Our wide range of tube and pipe cutting machines includes machines that can handle small or large diameter tubes and that can be equipped with oxyfuel or plasma torches or waterjets. We supply pipe cutting machines for round, elliptic or conical pipes as well as fully automated equipment featuring integrated logistics, or simpler, mobile versions.

PC600 – Chuck Type

The PC600 is a highly standardised pipe cutting machine, designed for cutting complex piping constructions up to 610 mm in diameter. Having a set of fixed specifications allows a very reduced price giving you most of the features of its bigger brother the SPC.

SPC – Chuck Type

Using a three jaw chuck for rotation of the pipes during the cutting process, this pipe cutting machine ensures ultimate accuracy. The machine can be equipped with extensive features such as oxyfuel or plasma, CAD/CAM connections, infeed/outfeed systems, marking systems, industry-specific macros/contours, etc.

RBPC – Roller Bed

The RBPC uses a system of roller conveyors to feed the pipes and remove cut parts. A cutting bed consisting of several sets of tandem wheels which can be moved up and down, provides the rotation movement of the pipes during the cutting process. The RBPC is particularly suitable in production halls without crane capacity - the roller conveyors transport the material to the machine.

SPC-RB – Chuck Type + Roller Bed

The SPC-RB combines a chuck type system for high accuracy together with a roller bed for high productivity. Pipes are moved into the cutting bed after which sets of wheels push up the pipe. Then the chuck moves into position and clamps the pipe for accurate rotation during cutting. The SPC-RB uses a system of roller conveyors to feed the pipes and remove cut parts.

Tailor made solutions – Pipe Cutting

All of our cutting machines are developed to optimize specific parts of a production process. If the options above does not match your requirements, please have a look at the following machines. If you want to talk to one of our experts to discuss your specific requirements, please contact us. We will be happy to help you solve cutting related problems and to improve your facilitys efficiency.

Profile Cutting machines

HP/Bulb, angle bar, T-bar and plate/strip are used as stiffeners in the shipbuilding industry. The robotic lines manufactured by HGG since the year 2000 have become a household name in the global shipbuilding market thanks to their high output and extensive integration of line processes, such as edge blasting systems for primer removal from the bottom of profiles and marking systems for application of inverse bending lines, text markings and welding lines.

PCL - Profile Cutting Line

The PCL (Profile Cutting Line) was developed for highly accurate, high output processing of specific shipbuilding profiles such as HP/bulb, angle bar, T-bar and plate/strip. Thanks to intelligent measuring technology, steering command and direct robot path control, the PCL provides up to 50% higher output than traditional machines. Optionally the line can be equipped to break the edges of the cut-outs.

Tailor made solutions – Profile Cutting

In case our ‘standard’ machines do not match your specific demands, we will be happy to explore the possibilities of customised solutions together with you. The wide array of equipment we have manufactured over the years not only includes machines for 3D profiling of composite profiles, but also for edge breaking installations, etc.

SHS / RHS / Square Cutting Machines

HGG offers a wide variety of machines for profiling several types of hollow sections (SHS/RHS). Each machine guarantees high quality 3D cuts as well as savings on welding and fitting costs. Intelligent measuring systems (laser triangulation or vision) measure any deformation of the theoretical hollow section shape and compensate where necessary. This process ensures perfect fitting and eliminates the need for grinding work.

RPC – Beam Profiler

The RPC is a machine designed specifically for coping heavy beams in the offshore industry; high productivity. Intervention in the robot’s axis movements through the robot controller ensures optimum manoeuvring between web and flange, preventing collisions and reducing any grinding to an absolute minimum. Intelligent software is further used to optimise lead-in, contour processing and lead-out of macro shapes so as to practically eliminate the need for grinding - a unique feature in the offshore industry!

MPC - Multi Profiler

The MPC is a machine that can be transformed into different configurations in very little time; high flexibility. The machine can be configured to cut pipes (CHS) and boxes (SHS/RHS), whereby material deformation is measured via laser triangulation for the purpose of cutting path corrections. Optionally the machine can be configured to cut beams (H) or profiles (UNP, plate/strip, bulb/HP, angle bar, T-bar) as well, whereas the different machine configuration use different pipe support systems.

Beam Cutting Machines

We offer various options for beam cutting. In steel construction, profiled beams are often the supporting structure for a building’s sturdiness, carrying only static loads. However, in the offshore industry, our technology is particularly being used due to absolute requirement to weld all connections in these structures due to the dynamic loads. Direct control of the robot movements prevents collisions between the torch and the material, yet the beam cutting work is still performed very close to the body and the flange, reducing any grinding work to a minimum.
